We often spend a lot of time trying to chase goals but whenever we get to those moments that there are a few obstacles, we falter on our quest. Sure there may be a number of reasons for that, but one of the most common is that it hasn’t converted from being a should to a must. Imagine for a moment we asked you to go out and make a million dollars in the next year – do you think you could do it?
I would guess that most of the readers wouldn’t back themselves to do so. Now we’ll have another go at asking the same question – only this time you have to make that money or else a family member will be unable to complete necessary treatments for their life threatening illness. I will guarantee that almost everyone will say yes to this. What’s the difference? Of course, not only do you have a strong enough reason, but you’ve made it a must.
When we make something an absolute must, we shut off any part of us that says we can’t do something and we will work at all costs to make it a reality. Regardless of what challenges we come across, we find a way to get through them because failure simply isn’t an option. We have laser pointed focus and we get the job done because we have to! Find a reason, make it a must, and watch your dreams become a reality.
