They have a certain stickability in our mind…
And when they can penetrate the heart, the have the power to create incredible internal shifts and transformations.
This is exactly what happened for me…
I had been going through the dating process – searching for that special someone but it kept eluding me…
That was until I discovered that the failed relationships had nothing to do with the other party…
It had to do with what I was drawing into my life through my mind and heart…
And throughout my journey, I stumbled across certain quotes that had a transformative effect on me…
An effect that has allowed me to attract the most incredible woman who i’m so proud to call my wife 🙂
“The purpose of a relationship is to magnify human emotions” – Tony Robbins
This is incredible! Immediately it may not have the impact that i’m making it out to have but it’s when you dig beneath the surface that you really understand the impact of this quote.
You see, so many people get into relationships for all the wrong reasons. They feel empty and unloved inside so they want someone else to fill that void.
They crave security so they get into a relationship thinking that security will come but it actually makes them feel even more insecure.
They are harbouring feelings of guilt and when they get into a relationship, the guilt is exposed even more. This what is meant by magnifying human emotions.
Hence the most important thing for you to do as an individual is to fill yourself up with love. This way, the relationship can be a magnification of that love.
“Faith is believing that the universe is on your side, and that the universe knows what it’s doing” – Marianne Williamson
One of my all time favourite books is “A Return to Love” by Marianne Williamson and it was the first place where I came across this powerful quote.
It had such a profound effect on me. A lightbulb moment. An Aha moment!
So many times we move though life and when things don’t go to plan, we feel that someone is punishing us. When we aren’t in the relationship we want.
When our husbands or wives act in a certain way. When we lose the job etc etc.
However, we have to remember that there is a grander plan in action. A plan that is helping us rise to our highest potential.
The question is – are you eyes open to that? Or are you just seeing life through the lens of pain, anger, resentment, guilt and suffering?
Trust that the universe is on your side and you will experience a level of bliss and liberation that you have never experienced before.
“Your task is not to seek for love but merely to see and find all barriers within yourself that you have built against it” – Rumi
Love is our essential nature. It’s who you are at your core. However, if you have had negative experience after negative experience, you will probably find yourself ‘conditioned’ to that and building ‘walls’ that take you away from your essential state.
Why? Because you don’t want to get hurt…and that’s totally understandable and natural.
However, if you want to experience the flowering of a beautiful relationship, you need to discover what is holding you back from feeling that love from within.
What wounds are you holding onto? What are you most afraid of?
What fear are at the top of mind for you?
When you can deal with these questions head on, you will slowly, brick by brick, break down those walls and be able to access your pure essence on an eternal level – that is love.
Sometimes it can be difficult to get to the bottom of your fears and wounds that are keeping you from the love that you deserve.
